What is a caricature?
A caricature is a portrait in which someone’s most distinctive features are deliberately exaggerated: a big head on small shoulders, a pronounced nose, a broad grin. That exaggeration is exactly why you recognise the person faster than in an ordinary photo.
The caricature comes from street portraiture and the political cartoon, where artists pin someone down in a handful of well-aimed lines. That is exactly the tradition this style draws on: hand-drawn lines, a loose pen and exaggeration with a wink. The goal is not to ridicule someone, but to capture them so accurately that you laugh because it is right.
